Parking In Troy, N.Y.

When visiting The Arts Center of The Capital Region at 265 River Street, in Troy, NY, you have several parking options, from free parking to metered parking, and even parking you can pay for with an app.

CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT PARKING

On-street parking is limited between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. within Troy’s Central Business District. 


WHERE TO FIND FREE PARKING IN TROY, NEW YORK

  • Free parking on the street:
    • Parking south of Ferry Street is free.
  • Free overnight and weekend parking In City-Operated Lots & Garages:
    • All city-operated parking lots and garages are available for free overnight parking Monday through Friday, 6:00 pm – 8:00 am. Free parking is also available on weekends.


PARKING METER PAY STATIONS

Parking meter pay stations are located in designated areas of downtown Troy. Customers must place their paid receipts on the dashboard of their vehicles. These are available on 3rd Street and elsewhere around The Arts Center.

The City is undertaking a phased implementation plan for public parking improvements in Troy’s Central Business District, including upgraded parking meters, dedicated visitor parking, and online payment options for metered street parking. Please be sure to read the instructions at the pay station, as all parking information is subject to change.

DAYTIME PARKING IS BY PERMIT ONLY IN CITY-OPERATED LOTS & GARAGES

City-operated parking lots and garages require permits for daytime parking, as does the paved lot directly behind The Arts Center.

ACCESSIBLE PARKING IN DOWNTOWN TROY

In addition to the designated spaces throughout downtown, accessible parking permits are issued by the City Treasurer’s office to Troy residents.  For more information, click here.

The Activities and Events in The Arts Center of The Capital Region are Wheelchair Accessible.

PLEASE NOTE

Unfortunately, the gravel parking lot behind The Arts Center is not available due to construction until further notice.

If you’re driving from west of Troy and crossing the river via Route 2 (turns into Ferry Street after the bridge) you can either take the Front Street exit or turn right onto 1st or 3rd Street. Parking south of Ferry Street is free.
